We were contacted by Valentina’s family member, Nataliya, few days ago. She told us that her family was in the Poltava region. They felt they needed to leave, as the situation had become very dangerous, but were extremely scared to leave. Their group consists of Valentina, her 18 year old daughter who is 8 months pregnant, twins who are 1.5 years old, and two girls 10 and 16 years old. We provided them advice on the best way to get to the border, and they arrived safely on the morning of March 23. We have secured a townhouse in Gdansk for them and equipped it with food, clothes, and toys. Dr Maciej Szemryk, our volunteer OB/GYN is waiting to take care of the mom to be. They are safe now.
